DAY 7 - ALBERTA, FINALLY!!

After waking up in Swift Current, it was time to start moving towards our destination of Calgary. Passing through long empty fields,  w finally arrived at the Alberta sign! Unfortunately it was too high for me to climb, but there's a couple provinces left I can still try and conquer. We snapped a quick picture and carried onward, where the only thing to keep us entertained was the off chance of seeing a North American Antelope. Apparently there's such a thing. We finally managed to spot a lone antelope in a field with cattle. Not sure what he was trying to accomplish, but he wasn't camouflaged as well as he might have hoped. Arriving in Calgary, we passed over the bridge, headed down Chinatown street and stopped in at a Lindt outlet. Absolute heaven on earth that place is. After sampling a couple, we scooped some up and went to Peter's Drive-In for dinner. The food was as expected since it was fast food, but the milkshakes were phenomenal. (Thanks Bianca for the suggestion!!)
Melinda and I both decided that Calgary was nothing special, and after having a cold Carona with lime and cruising the WiFi at BP, we decided to just head straight for Canmore then! Loading up with 2 cans of bear mase from the local Canadian Tire we set our sights to see the mountains, and well the rest, you're going to have to wait until tonight to hear about it 😉
