DAY 4 - On the road again!
This morning we said our final goodbyes to the family and left Killarney behind. It was such an incredible weekend and we are so glad we were able to begin our trip there! We headed onto the Trans-Canada highway towards our first stop in Terrace Bay. At lunch time we made a brief stop in Sault Ste Marie to stock up the cooler and have some professionally made Mortadella sandwiches, which I was not equipped to make according to Zack 😂
(Melinda is too tired, so this is Zack now. Don't worry I'll get her to proof read it so it's not riddled with spelling errors and run-on sentences). When leaving the Sault, Melinda was in utter disbelief (pun intended) when I said there was a cow statue with a massive hard on! We quickly whipped around so I could cattle the balls and take a picture before heading on our way! Just before arriving to Terrace Bay, a tragedy befell us. We we're upset about not being able to spot any wildlife thus far on our 10 hour journey. Melinda then spotted a baby black bear climbing down a cliff and bolted onto the road. The professional tractor trailer driver ahead of us didn't spot him in time and ended up running him over.. as destroyed as we were, we carried on, shed a tear, and headed to see the Falls. This was supposed to be our final stop for the day where we would inflate our backseat air mattress. However, after seeing the wonders of the Aquasabon Gorge/falls we felt rejuvenated enough to carry on another 200km to Thunder Bay where we found haven in a Walmart parking lot. It was quite the day. Now as we're finishing this up and trying to sleep all we can do is laugh realizing that the gunshots we thought we heard, were indeed fireworks for the long weekend.
