DAY 2 - Killarney beach day 😊
August 05, 2018

Today we spent the whole day at the beach with the family and even Remi! Zack and my dad went hunting for crayfish and frogs with the kiddos and were very successful. We all swam out to turtle Rock, a highlight from my childhood, and slide down the algae ridden rocks for a while before making a few jumps off! A 4 year old girl out on the rocks corrected Zack that he killed a horse fly, and not a deerfly.. and then proceeded to feed it to a 10" smallmouth bass (videos to come). 
After filling our bellies with pb and J's, cheese sandwiches and trail mix, we trekked back to the campsite and made some tacos for dinner. Looking forward to the stars tonight and the hike to Lumsden Lake tomorrow!

    So happy we are are ALL here to send you guys off in your adventures!.
    To have it start here in Killarney, where we have spent do many vacations, is simply wonderful.

DAY 38/39 - Okanagan Wine Tour and Home Time! Sunday we woke up not quite as refreshed as we were hoping, but we were in a Super8 hotel where we heard every door slam closed through the night so that made sense. We took advantage of the hotel, showered up and got ready for our day ahead!  We checked out around 11am and headed to ABC Nails downtown Kelowna. Considering today was a day of luxury and we have 2 weddings when we get home, it was time to get my nails done. After 6 weeks of roughing it and camping, they were pretty bad. And I do have a shiny new rock to show off now sooooo 😉 While I got my nails done Zack explored the downtown area and grabbed a beer. Which was $7 for a bottle of Kokanee and he was not impressed haha  After that we headed to the next hotel for the night, Best Western Plus Wine Country Hotel & Suites in West Kelowna. DAY 1- OFF WE GO!!! August 04, 2018  After an amazing night out with great friends and celebrating Zacks last day at work, we're off on our adventure! First stop on our trip is Killarney Provincial Park. I grew up camping here with my family, jumping off the rocks, having campfires and portaging. Last year Zack and I spent some time up there again after many years and it's easily one of our favourite places.  We are here for 3 days, and then head West early Monday morning!
