DAY 38/39 - Okanagan Wine Tour and Home Time! Sunday we woke up not quite as refreshed as we were hoping, but we were in a Super8 hotel where we heard every door slam closed through the night so that made sense. We took advantage of the hotel, showered up and got ready for our day ahead! We checked out around 11am and headed to ABC Nails downtown Kelowna. Considering today was a day of luxury and we have 2 weddings when we get home, it was time to get my nails done. After 6 weeks of roughing it and camping, they were pretty bad. And I do have a shiny new rock to show off now sooooo 😉 While I got my nails done Zack explored the downtown area and grabbed a beer. Which was $7 for a bottle of Kokanee and he was not impressed haha After that we headed to the next hotel for the night, Best Western Plus Wine Country Hotel & Suites in West Kelowna. We were also getting picked up here to start our wine tour around Okanaga...

DAY 36 - A Rainy Day in Victoria BC Thursday morning (day 36) we woke up a little chilly to the sound of raindrops on the truck roof. We knew it was a good idea that we had decided to head for Victoria, and we were in no rush. We hungout in the truck for a bit on our phones and trying to figure out where the day will take us. When we were ready to go we grabbed our bowl of cereal and headed for Victoria! We drove back through Nanaimo BC, which is where we got onto the island. Since we didn't have a Nanaimo bar on our way in, we knew we had to before we left. We stopped at a little Italian cafe called Bocca Cafe. They have won numerous awards for their Nanaimo bars, including best in the city for 2017!! So we enjoyed a cup of coffee and split a delicious nanaimo bar that definitely lived up to the best in the city. But to be honest, there isn't that much you can do different with them so they pretty much all taste the same hahaha We also checked out a ...

DAY 35 - Tofino Beaches & Pacific Rim Rainforests! Last night we just parked on a side street in Tofino and slept in the truck. Considering we are driving so much in our last 5 days, we figured we wouldn't want to have to set up and take down the tent ever night. Plus there are such limited campgrounds in the area, we knew our chances were slim. Today the goal was to explore the Western side of the Island, Tofino and Pacific Rim! When we woke up there were construction workers across the road working, so we thought it was best to get out of there quickly. We headed into downtown Tofino with the hopes of stocking up on some much needed groceries before we start the day. We stopped at the seemingly only grocery store, Co-op Market Place. We had to be careful not to stock up too much though because we will be crossing into the states in about 3 days. We packed up the cooler, cleaned up the back of the t...

Day 34- Cathedral Grove and Tofino After our crazy adventure ziplining yesterday, we switched around the truck and headed out of Whistler. Luckily, I wasn't too hungover from drinking the night before so we had a good start to the morning haha. We went to Tims to grab some breakfast because we're running low on supplies again, and headed towards the B.C Ferry Terminal. We thought it was going to be around 3/4 hours until we got there, but after 2 hours through the twists and turns of BC's wild roads we were there and ready for our 2 hour Ferry ride. The Ferry runs from Horseshoe Bay in BC and departs every 2 hours. So if you don't make a reservation (like Melinda and I) you could potentially be waiting 4 hours before boarding to head to either Nanimo or Victoria on Vancouver island. Now if you've ever heard of our trip to P.E.I a couple years ago (where we were THE LAST CAR ON THE FERRY) t...
